The School of Artisan Food is a world-class, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to teaching skills in artisan food production. Located on the beautiful Welbeck Estate in North Nottinghamshire in the heart of Sherwood Forest, the School offers fully equipped, spacious training facilities, providing the ideal environment to learn, develop and master artisan food skills.
A wide range of practical, hands-on courses cater for all skill levels from complete beginners through to award-winning professionals in baking, butchery, curing and smoking, brewing, cheese and ice-cream making, pickling and preserving. The School also delivers a range of professional business courses for new food start-ups and existing enterprises.
Courses are taught by some of the most skilled and experienced artisan producers and practitioners in the UK, Europe and beyond including master bakers Wayne Caddy, Mickael Jahan and Emmanuel Hadjiandreou, cheesemakers Paul Thomas and Ivan Larcher and master butchers Andrew Sharp and Chris Moorby.
