Seamus

Managing director, Eye to Eye Media

A man with over 25 years’ experience at the top level of the publishing world, Seamus founded Seven Publishing Group in 2003 with Jo Sandilands and won the licence to publish delicious. magazine, taking his position as managing director. Seven Publishing Group then acquired Sainsbury’s Magazine from Delia Smith, as well as a successful range of puzzle magazines.

Prior to this, Seamus spent 14 years at BBC Worldwide as director of lifestyle, heading up the multimedia division focused on adult lifestyle, in particular food, gardening and homes. His remit encompassed magazines, books, exhibitions and IP (TV and radio rights).

During his time at the BBC, Seamus oversaw magazine titles such as BBC Good Food, Gardeners’ World, Homes & Antiques, as well as the launch of Eve. He headed up exhibitions including the Good Food Show, Gardeners’ World Live, Good Homes Show and The Clothes Show. And his responsibilities didn’t stop there: he also oversaw book authors including Delia Smith, Rick Stein, Alan Titchmarsh, Diarmuid Gavin, Gary Rhodes, and programme IP including Ground Force, Changing Rooms, Ready Steady Cook, Food & Drink, MasterChef, Gardeners’ World, Gardeners’ Question Time and Home Front.

Seamus formed Eye to Eye Media in November 2009 following the management buy-out of the consumer publishing arm of Seven Publishing Group.
